Foaled on March 27, 1998, Point Given became one of the great thoroughbred champions in history. In thirteen career races, he scored nine wins and three second-place finishes. His last four races were all million-dollar wins: the 2001 Preakness Stakes, Belmont Stakes, Haskell Invitational, and Travers Stakes. This made him the first horse in history to win four consecutive million-dollar races, and just the fifth horse since 1878 to win the Preakness, Belmont, and Travers.
Point Given was a unanimous selection for American Champion Three-Year-Old Colt at the Eclipse Awards, and was voted 2001 Horse of the Year. He was inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in 2010, and has been a resident of the Hall of Champions since 2018.
