Funny Cide
Foaled on April 20, 2000, Funny Cide proved to be a trendsetter during his lengthy racing career. In 2003, he became the first New York-foaled winner in the history of the Kentucky Derby. He followed that with a track-record margin of victory in the Preakness Stakes, becoming the first New York-foaled winner of that event since 1896. He continued racing even after winning the Eclipse Award for Three-Year-Old Male of the Year, and would later become the first Kentucky Derby winner to win a graded stakes race at the age of six.
Funny Cide has been a resident of the Hall of Champions since December 2008, where he is the only resident to have won both the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes.
