Da Hoss

Foaled on January 18, 1992 in Lexington, Kentucky, Da Hoss showed the heart of a champion by overcoming several serious injuries during his long career.  In twenty races, he finished in the money nineteen times with twelve victories.  After an impressive win in the 1996 Breeders Cup Mile, he missed the entire 1997 season with a multitude of injuries.  With just one tune-up race, Da Hoss won by a nose in the 1998 Breeders Cup Mile, making him the the only horse to win the Mile in two non-consecutive years and prompting announcer Tom Durkin to declare it "the greatest comeback since Lazarus!"

Da Hoss has been a resident of the Hall of Champions since January 2000.
